Have you ever wanted to cook chicken in 30 minutes? Then you remember you can’t because your stove will take at least an hour plus. So I used my Instant Pot and was so excited with the results. The chicken was the best chicken I have ever had PLUS it was just falling off the bone. My husband asked me if I bought the chicken at the store from like the whole chicken rotisserie ones.
What you need
Whole Chicken (3-4lbs)
I just use, onion, garlic, and all seasoning
1/2 cup of water
1/2 cup of chicken broth
How to make
Simple thaw out your chicken overnight
Season up in the morning with your seasoning.
When ready to cook you will add the water and the chicken broth to the bottom of the dish
Next place the steam rack under that to keep out of the juices
Last you will add the chicken and cook 7 minutes per lb. When the pressure cooker is done you will let the pressure naturally release for 10-15 minutes. Once that time is over you will open the value and let out any remaining pressure.
If you have ONLY a Crock Pot you can do this too but since your steam rack might not fit in your Crock Pot. You can get foil and roll up in balls then place under them and cook for 6 hours on high.
