There is nothing better than something warm and pumpkin tasting to remind you of fall. So this year I thought I would make something different since I love to play with my food I bake. So this year I made a Pumpkin Beer bread. It is amazing and I can’t wait to make more. As you can omit the walnuts if you want it doesn’t matter, honestly. I use to hold the bread together with a little more. Also for the pumpkin beer, we used Blue Moon, my husband things that the favor is stronger in it then others he has tried. You can use whatever one you would like it will still come out the same.
1¼ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
½ ground nutmeg
½ ground allspice
3 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temp)
1 cup pumpkin purée
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup pumpkin ale
1/2 cup roughly chopped walnuts
Turn on oven to 350
Gather your dry ingredients and mix together.
Next add your egg and butter, once they are mixed up well.
You will add your pumpkin and beer in and mix till well combined.
Once they are all mixed up you will place in a med sized bread pan and cook for 60 minutes. You will notice about half way in the house will start to SMELL amazing. After done cooking let sit for 20 minutes and then you can server. The bread is very moist and dense because of the pumpkin puree and the beer.
