So I love peanut butter cookies but I also had Nutella about to expire so I had to decide if I wanted to eat sandwhiches for day or just suck it up and makes cookies in the middle of summer. So after a few minutes I picked the cookies because who doesn’t love cookies. So the recipe I made will make about 12- 18 cookies depending on the size you want.
ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter ( I bought HEB Honey Peanut Butter)
if you don’t have add 1 tsp of honey to your recipe
1 egg
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp of baking power
1-3/4 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup Nutella
and a pinch of salt
How to make-
First DON’T TURN OVEN ON YET!
Now get out all the stuff you need, add your ingredents in this order to the bowl.
first get the peanut butter and sugars into your mixing bowl once they are creamy and mixed well you will add your egg, vanilla, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Let that mix up for about 3-4 minutes. Once you have done that place your nutella in the microwave for 20 seconds just enough to get easy to pour of of the cup. Next place the Nutella into the bowl and mix up for a short period of time. You just want enough that you can see a “swirl”. Next place the dough in the fridge to cool down and mix together, now turn your oven on to 350.
After the 15 minutes is up you will use a baller or your hands and make the cookies. Once they are on the baking pan you will need to press down on them to get flat. They won’t natural flatten out. Yes I learned this while making. You will bake for 9-10 minutes, you will know they are down since the ends will have nice golden tint. Now after you take out of oven leave on the cookie sheet for a few minutes to let cook a little more an than transfer to a plate.
You can eat right away or you can server later with some ice cold milk. Either way taste great and you and your family will love! I loved the hint of honey I tasted the most!
