My favorite side is fresh green beans with bacon and a little butter. So I thought today I would share with you how I made in my Instant Pot. Also this is a great way to make for Thanksgiving since if your stove is like mine it will be filled up and you are making the green bean casserole last. The directions are really easy and the taste is amazing. One pound will feed about 4-5 people depending on your serving size.
1 lb of green beans
1/4 cup of bacon bits
1/2 tbsp of butter
dash of salt and pepper
Cut off the ends of your green beans
Then wash them very well
Place 1 cup of water on the bottom of Instant Pot
Then place the trivet, and place your steamer basket on top of the trivet within the Instant Pot
Next turn on with bacon and green beans inside the Instant Pot and let cook for 3 minutes on high (manual), if you want softer do 5.
After cooked place in a bowl and then add your butter, it will melt quickly.

This might not be the most amazing dinner but this is a great throw together dinner when you have no food in your house. I always have the ingredients in my pantry so I threw it together and it was so simple that I had to share. I hope y’all try out and enjoy this “clean out my pantry dinner”. This will make enough for 4-5 people.
I personally added a cup of butternut squash to my recipe because we had in the fridge plus I like to “hide” veggies in my food. You can’t taste the squash and it looks like potatoes once cooked.
