Beef - I use chuck roast. I cut my beef into manageable pieces to make it easier to shred.

Oregano - Dried oregano adds great flavor to the beef and the rest of the dish. 

Cooking oil - You can use vegetable oil, coconut il, avocado oil, or any type of cooking oil that you prefer. 

Chili powder - This can be optional if you don't want heat. 

Black pepper - To taste.

Sea salt - To taste. You an use regular salt as well.

Onion powder - Perfect flavoring for the meat. 

Cumin - Really cuts through the rest of the ingredients and stands out. 

Garlic powder - Don't confuse it with garlic salt!

How to make Instant Pot Shredded Beef

The good news is that you can be this easy one-pot beef recipe with the easy ingredients listed above!

Step One: Add all the seasonings and oil to the Instant Pot and stir together. Add the beef and mix in the mixture using tongs.

Step Two: Add the beef broth to the mixture, and stir well.

Step Three: Close the lid and cook on high pressure for 45 minutes.

Once the time has passed, wait for a natural release and open the lid.

Step Four: Remove the meat from the Instant Pot and shred using 2 forks. (be careful, it will be hot!)

Step Five: Serve as you wish and enjoy 🙂

  • 2 lbs beef
