Pressure Cooker Beanie Weenies

My husband loves Beanie Weenies. They remind him of his childhood. So when I figured out how to make Instant Pot Beanie Weenies. I made them for him and he said I must share how I made since it was so good.

Instant Pot Beanie Weenies

Beanie weenies remind me of camping out as a kid, but they don’t really remind me of great flavor.  Making them from scratch like this really has changed how I feel about them.  So much flavor, plus so easy to make!  They are a great way to make a family-friendly meal that everyone will enjoy.  Plus, you can make large batches and portion for lunches throughout the week. 

Ingredients for Instant Pot Beanie Weenies

2 cans of 28ounces canned pork and beans
12 ounces of hot dogs, diced into pieces
1/2 whole onion diced
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
6 slices bacon cooked and chopped
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1/2 cup light brown sugar

Directions for Instant Pot Beanie Weenie

Prepare bacon and set aside.  (i love placing the bacon in a single layer on a baking sheet and baking at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. It comes out perfect without a ton of mess). 

Set the Instant Pot to Saute mode

Add diced hot dogs to your Instant Pot liner on cook for 2 minutes on Saute mode

Add remaining ingredients to the Instant Pot liner as shown below.

Mix all ingredients together until well combined. 


Cover your Instant Pot liner with the lid and set to seal

Choose manual high pressure for 20 minutes. 

Once the cooking cycle has completed, open the valve and quickly release the pressure. 

Open the Instant Pot and stir the mixture prior to serving.
