A favorite in our house is Instant Pot Cabbage Recipe. We love it because of the taste, but also it is nice to cook cabbage without the house smelling like cabbage all day. This is easy, delicious, and a great healthy option to add to your menu plan!

Ingredients for Instant Pot Cabbage
1 head of cabbage
1 small onion, sliced
2 tsp of garlic
salt and pepper for taste
1/4 cup of water
1/2 cup of water on the bottom.
Directions for Instant Pot Cabbage
Wash your head of cabbage and remove the outer layer of cabbage leaves
Cut the cabbage into 3 large pieces (you may cut into smaller pieces as needed to fit into your Instant Pot liner.
Place a trivet into the bottom of your Instant Pot Liner
Add 1 cup of water to the bottom of your pot
Place the cabbage in an oven-safe bowl or dish that will fit on top of the trivet inside your Instant Pot Liner. If you do not have a bowl for this, you may place the cabbage on top of the trivet directly inside your Instant Pot liner.
Add 1/3 cup of water, onion, garlic, and a dash of salt and pepper to the pot in pot along with your cabbage. If you are not using a pot in pot, you may skip the water in this step.
Close the Instant Pot lid and set to seal.
Adjust temperature to Steam Mode for 10 minutes. If you do not have Steam Mode on your pressure cooker, you may set to low pressure for 5 minutes.
Once time is up and the cabbage has completed cooking cycle, you will allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes, then manually release any remaining pressure.
Open lid safely, and serve.
