Bubba Beans in the Pressure Cooker

I love to make homemade food for family dinners. So when my family got together for Mother’s Day I made some bubba beans. I will warn you in advance that it does take about 90 minutes with prep and cook time.  Once you eat you will feel it is worth the time it takes to cook.  This recipe will feed 10-12 people as a meal or a lot more if at a potluck.

What you need

1lb of ground beef
1/2 cup of cooked bacon
1/2 cup of diced onion
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup of white sugar
1/4 cup of ketchup
1/4 of BBQ sauce
4 tbsp of mustard
2 tbsp of molasses
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of chili powder
1/2 tsp of pepper
1 lb of  uncooked kidney beans
1 lb of uncooked butter beans

How to make

First, you will start with the ground beef.  You turn your Instant Pot onto simmer mode.  After the meat is completely brown the meat and then you will add in the rest of the ingredients other than the beans.  Once they are in the pot you will mix up the ingredients well with the ground beef.  Once they are mixed up well.  You will scoop or pour the ground beef mixture into another bowl.  Place on the side to add in after the beans are cooked.  Next, you will get 7 cups of water and the beans and place them in the Instant Pot.  Once the beans and water are in your Instant Pot you will close the lid.  Turn your Instant Pot onto manual mode for 75 minutes.  Once the timer goes off you will do a quick release.  Once you can open the lid you will mix up your beans and then then add in your ground beef mixture back into the Instant Pot and mix up well.  Now you can serve with cheese or diced onion.
