Dump Dinners for the Fall

So I know most of you either have a slow cooker or an Instant Pot since you are checking out this page.  So I thought I would share with your some Easy Dump Dinners for the Fall.  They will be have full recipes and you can use in either your slow cooker or Instant Pot on slow cook.  If you have any questions feel free to comment.

 

Chicken Green Beans and Potatoes 

  •  2lbs Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 lb. fresh green beans, clip the ends
  • 1.50 lb. diced red or white potates
  •  ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • ¼ tsp. onion powder
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

If you are packing and saving for later you will get it all prepped.  Then while in baggie you will close it up and mix it up well.  Once mixed well you will place in the freezer till you are ready.  Once in your slow cooker or Instant Pot cook for 4 hours on high or 7-8 hours on low.

Taco Soup

  • 2 lbs of ground beef cooked (weight before cooking
  • 2 cans of Rotel
  • 2 cans of diced tomatoes
  • 1 can of cream corn
  • 1 can of kernel corn
  • 1 package of ranch dressing
  • 1 package of taco seasoning
  • 32 oz of Chicken broth
  • 3 Cans of Beans 
  • 2 cans of pinto beans

Place all your items in a ziploc baggie and then mix up well.  Once mixed up well let out the left out air and freeze till you are ready to cook. Once in your slow cooker or Instant Pot cook for 4 hours on high or 7-8 hours on low.

Cilantro Lime Chicken

  • 2 lbs of chicken breast
  • 1 bunch of cilantro
  • 2 limes
  • 2 cans of black beans

Dice up your cilantro and then place in the ziploc baggie.  Next add the chicken, black beans and then squeeze in your limes into the baggie.  Write on baggie add 16 oz of chicken broth.  Once in your slow cooker or Instant Pot cook for 4 hours on high or 7-8 hours on low.

Creamy Chicken with Wild Rice soup

  • 1 lb of boneless skinless chicken
  • 2 cups of onion
  • 2 cups of carrots
  • 2 cups of celery
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinches of salt and pepper
  • 1 cup of wild rice

Mix all of the following in a ziploc baggie.  Then write on the baggie add 32 oz of chicken broth, 1/2 cup of heavy cream and 4 cups of water. So once you ready to make you can dump into your machine. Once in your slow cooker or Instant Pot cook for 4 hours on high or 7-8 hours on low.  When I get home I cook a cup of wild rice and serve with the rest so it is wild rice.  I have not tried to cook at the same time before.

 

Beef Tips 

  • 2 pounds stew meat 
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic 
  • 1 package of brown gravy seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • ¼ cup cold water
  • 3 tablespoons corn starch
  • 4-6 cups cooked white or brown rice

Place all the ingredients in the baggie.  Place note on the baggie saying add 4 cups of beef broth and add and mix in 3 tablespoons of corn starch 15 minutes before you serve.  This is great to serve over rice 4-6 cups cooked is good amount to make.

  1. How much rice & what kind do I add to the “Creamy Chicken with Wild Rice soup” recipe?
    Does it have to bee cooked separately?

      • I changed it to be – “When I get home I cook a cup of wild rice and serve with the rest so it is wild rice.  I have not tried to cook at the same time before.”
